Christos C. Bitsakos born in Santa Monica, the son of Dino Bitsakos, one of the industry’s best Paint Foreman’s started at the age of 8 developing his own film in a self built dark room at home with his Father. His wide range of skills and passion led him to study filmmaking at USC where he met Woody Omens A.S.C and saw great potential in Christos who decided to take him under his win g and encourage him to push the boundaries of his own limits. Throughout mastered the rigorous course work required of him as an undergrad. All the while he upped the stakes by simultaneously taking advanced graduate cinematography classes, continuing to cultivate the still photography skills he acquired at a young age, as well as, working as an in-house Projectionist at Norris Theater. Additionally, as a young filmmaker he was responsible for producing, directing shooting and editing his own films and graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in a record breaking 2 1⁄2 years.

Post-graduation Christos found that a degree from USC was an incredible resume builder, He had just been accepted as a graduate student to the “School of Hard Knocks” as he humbly worked as a non-paid Camera Intern for nearly a year and caught his first break as a film loader on a small non-union TV show titled “Sweet Valley High.” This opened the door for him to proudly join IATSE Local 600 International Cinematographers Guild.

Knowing the value of hard work, the commitment, obtaining priceless knowledge from master Cinematographers and understanding the dedication to see a project through along with and the creative rewards of collaborating with your team have all led Christos to work on highly respected and award winning TV shows and films, such as JAG, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and New Orleans, Magnolia, Bounce, Imposter, K-Pax, 8MM, My Giant and a host of many more titles.
